<p>Czech actor, writer, playwright and lyricist famous for his interwar collaboration with Jan Werich and Jaroslav Ježek at the Osvobozený divadlo. After the February coup, he emigrated to the USA, where he spent the rest of his life and continued his successful acting career.</p>
