Jára Beneš (1897–1949), born Jaroslav Beneš, was a Czech composer, conductor and bandleader and one of the prominent figures of First Republic popular music. He wrote numerous operettas and film scores, including music for On a jeho sestra, To neznáte Hadimršku and Na tý louce zelený.
